زاد الآخرة is an athkar and prayer-times app. It is built to need as little of your information as possible.
Everything you record — your athkar counts, which prayers you have marked, your history, streaks, chosen colours and settings — is stored only on your phone. It is never uploaded, never backed up to us, and never shared. We operate no servers and hold no accounts, so there is nothing about you for us to hold.
Uninstalling the app deletes all of it.
If you grant location permission, the app uses your position to work out prayer times, the Hijri date, and your city name.
Your coordinates are sent to Aladhan (api.aladhan.com), a third-party prayer-times service, over an encrypted connection. They are used to compute times for your area and are not sent anywhere else. Your position is also handled by Google Play Services to produce the location fix itself, and by Google's geocoder to turn coordinates into a city name.
Your most recent coordinates are cached on your device so prayer times can be shown immediately at launch.
Location is optional. Decline it and the app works normally — you simply will not see prayer times, the countdown, or your city.
If you allow notifications, the app schedules reminders shortly before each prayer. These are generated on your device. No notification data leaves your phone.
The app is free and every feature is available to everyone. There is an optional monthly subscription that supports development and unlocks nothing.
If you take it, it is processed entirely by Google Play. We never see or receive your payment details. The app only asks Google Play whether an active subscription exists for this device, so it can thank you and stop asking.
Google Play's handling of purchases is covered by Google's privacy policy.
The app is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.
There are none. No analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, no tracking, no third-party identifiers.
