Privacy Policy — Chroma Snap

Last updated: 8 September 2026

Chroma Snap ("the app") is a game published by Haloudba ("we", "us"). This policy explains what happens to information when you play it, on Android and on iOS.

The short version

We do not ask for your name, your email, or an account, and the app contains no advertising. Your progress is saved on your own device. Three things leave your phone:

Each of these is described below. None of it is sold, shared with advertisers, or used to build a profile of you.

What the app stores on your device

The app saves one small progress file in its own private storage. It contains:

Apart from the initials, player number and scores mentioned in the next section, this file never leaves your device and is not sent to us. Uninstalling the app deletes it. If you have device backup enabled, Android or iOS may include the file in your own backup; that is controlled by your Google or Apple account settings, not by us. The ERASE PROGRESS button in OPTIONS deletes the file.

Leaderboards

When you finish a Daily or Blitz run, the app sends your score to our server so it can be ranked against other players. Each score carries three things:

Only your best score per board is kept. The app also fetches the top scores and your rank so it can show them. Nobody else can see your player number; other players only see your initials and score. Please choose initials that do not identify you if you would rather stay anonymous — three letters is all there is.

Erasing progress in OPTIONS gives you a new player number. Your old scores stay on the board under the initials you used, but are no longer connected to you or to your device. Endless mode has no online leaderboard; those scores stay on your device.

Anonymous usage counts

To see whether the game works — how many runs are started, how many players finish the tutorial, how often the store is opened — the app sends short event records to our server. An event is a name such as app_open, first_run, tutorial_done, run_start, run_end, store_open, out_of_coins, daily_claim or refill, sometimes with a detail such as the game mode, the run length in seconds, the score rounded to the nearest 25, the current streak length. Each event also carries the app version, the platform (Android, iOS or web) and a random session number that is created every time you open the app and thrown away when you close it.

That session number is never stored on your device and is not linked to your player number, so we cannot connect two sessions to the same person and do not try to. We do not receive your device identifier, advertising identifier, name, email, contacts, precise location, or anything you typed.

Where this data goes, and for how long

Leaderboard scores and usage events are stored with Supabase, our hosting provider, on servers in the United States. As with any internet connection, the server sees the IP address of the device that connects; we do not store IP addresses in our tables and do not use them for anything, though the hosting provider may keep them in short-lived connection logs under its own policy (supabase.com/privacy).

If the app cannot reach the server — for example with no internet connection — it simply plays offline and nothing is sent.

Advertising

There is none. The app shows no adverts of any kind, contains no advertising SDK, and does not request, read or transmit your device's advertising identifier.

Purchases

Coin packs, Unlimited Play and the Prism Pack are sold through Google Play Billing on Android and the App Store on iOS. Google or Apple processes the payment. We never see or store your card number, billing address, or any other payment detail — the app is only told that a purchase completed, so it can grant the item. Nothing about a purchase is sent to our server. Buying is entirely optional: the game gives free coins to start, refunds a coin whenever you beat your best pace, refills a few coins for free when you run out, and pays out for daily streaks.

Links

The PRIVACY POLICY and RESTORE PURCHASES buttons in OPTIONS may open your device's browser or app store. Those pages are covered by their own policies.

Children

The app carries no advertising, asks for no account and no personal details, and the only thing a player types is three letters for the leaderboard. There is no profiling and no advertising identifier involved. If you believe a child has entered something identifying as their initials, contact us and we will remove it.

Your rights

Everything on your device is yours to delete: uninstall the app, or use ERASE PROGRESS in OPTIONS. ERASE PROGRESS also asks our server to delete the leaderboard rows belonging to your player number, and the USAGE STATS switch in OPTIONS stops usage events being sent at all. On our server we hold only leaderboard rows (initials, random player number, score) and anonymous usage events. If you want your leaderboard entries removed, email us with the initials you used and roughly when and what you scored, and we will delete the matching rows. Usage events cannot be traced back to you, so there is nothing there to export or delete.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this address and the date above will change.
